Do you wanna play clay with me?

Here's a cheeky little mouse on a fly agaric mushroom polymer clay tutorial that you can follow along with. You'll need a few different colours of clay and some basic tools you can find around the house.
If you are new to polymer clay then you can find some info about working with it on the Activity Page of my website.
If you don't have the time or materials you need this weekend you can download all this information (along with the video link) so you can clay along at a later date here:
You will need:
Polymer clay colours of your choice (who says mice need to be brown?)
A ceramic tile or old plate to work on
A craft knife or old kitchen knife
A cocktail stick
A round ended pen or pencil
(Once used with polymer clay tools and equipment CANNOT be used with food again.)

Before you start
You will need to condition your clay and blend any colours. You can condition the clay and blend colours by squishing and rolling it in your hands until it is soft, pliable and well mixed. Always work from the lighter clay to the darker ones as some clay will get transferred on your hands and may change the colour slightly. If blending a dark and light colour together always start with a small amount of the dark colour and add more to get the shade you want, a little can go a long way.
I’ve suggested colours and amounts below but feel free to go rogue, just don’t make your ornament too big as you will struggle to properly cure it (no bigger than about 2.5cm at its thickest point). Once blended and conditioned roll your clays into balls.

Let's go
Follow along with the video, pausing when you need to. Here are some guides for the size and shape of the component pieces. If you’re not happy with something just squish it up, roll it back into a ball and start again.
Once finished, cure according to the manufacturer’s instructions.

Happy claying
Please share your creations in the comments or on your socials and tag me @BeneathTheBadgerTree, I’d love to see them.
