Hares are my most popular seller by far. I think this is because you can find a space for htem in any home, they are a pricepoint that will not hurt wallets, and they are - well - freakin' adorable!
Let's havea look at some of the hares I've made, and I'll talk a little bit about each one. Hares, aswith all my creatuires, are available as custom orders as well as pre-mades.

This was a "pre-made" hare. It's difficult not to just make hares that are to my personal taste. I try not to do it every time, and make a range that variy in style and colours. This hare, however, was a purely selfish make. I saw the fabric on the face, loved it and based the rest of the hare's colouring off that "hero" fabric. I absolutely love how he turned out, and this little man got a custom fringe trim made from the fabric on his cheeks! He was snapped up straight away.
Since I never make two hares the same, when it's gone, it's gone. It is, in fact, almost exactly like the middle of Lidl! Well maybe not quite but you get my drift.

This colourful dude was a custom make. The brief was orange and green and stripes. My lovely customer had already bought a pre-made magenta Roe Deer, and he needed a friend. They sent me a photo of a hare I had previously made (see below) and requested something similar. I sent a few fabric suggestions and came upwith the gorgeous beastie above.

Little Hamish was my first tweed hare. I was given some little scraps of some goregous brown and teal tweed and loved thecolours so much. In fact, i loved it so much I went tosee if i coudl fidnany more, but alas, as with many ofhe fabrics i use, it was discontinued.
I was asked for a "dupe' and happened to have soem left. In fact, i managedto squeeze two morehares outofthis fabricbeforethescrapswere just too tiny todo anything with. Here is Hamish's brother Angus.

And his little sister, Aggie.

As you can see, they are all diffeent, but you can immideately ell they are related. i loved this series. I'll have todo another one soon.
For Halloween last year, I thought it would be fun to try to make a "Day of the Dead" themd hair.
Here is Lucia, complete with little hand made flowers and buck teeth. She is now living in Ireland, having got lost on the way due to customs problems. Thankfully she made it all the way back to me, and found her way to her new home on thesecond attempt. She is quite well travelled for a hare!

This beautiful hare was a custom make - a gift for a granddaughter. The customer is a friend, and they live nearby, so they came to my workshop to choose fabrics with me. I think she turned out absolutely stunning. The fabric on her face and shoulders is to die for, it's a very metallic, vibrant colour and shimmers. Though this was a very small sample from a discontinued fabric book, I was delighted to receive a much larger piece in one of my fabric hauls recently. I'll save that for a larger beast, so look out for it. I wonder what it will be!

This handsome chap was a last minute make. I don't usually make any of my pieces in a hurry. However, I was attending a large, 4 day craft fair at Hever Castle, and was running out of hares! So that night, I stayed up late and made him. I was pretty tired the next day, but he sold within a couple of hours of the market opening. It was bittersweet. I feel like I get to know all my creations really well because of the time I spend with them while I make them, and then finda new home for them. But in this case, I hardly got to know him! Hesdid get a rather splendid photo of himself in from of Hever Castle though.

The next night, I only had one hare left, so I stayed up again and made this lvoely creature. She was inspired by the beautiful sunshine we had the day before (see above photo). Alas, it was a rainy day that day, so I was unable to get a sunny picture, but here she is. She brings the sunshine in!

This is a funny looking hare! It's not really a hare of course. I also do animals from folklore and myth. This is a Wolpertinger from German Folklore, and I also do antlered hares - Jackalopes - from North American folklore. I have just discovered a mythical hare with a unihorn, called an Al-Mi'raj. Since I have just developed a mini unicorn, I have a unihorn mould, so of course, I will be making an Al-Mi'raj very soon!

Finally, this was a really fun hare I made for a friend. It was made from ssome fabric i had left over from a job over 20 years ago!
The fabric is fluorescent, so it looks vibrant and glows under ultra violet light. You can see it is nnormal light and in blacklight below. Even the eyes glow (though alas, you cannot see it in the photo)

I love being creative with my little hares. I'm open to trying anything, so if you have a whacky idea for a hare, don't be shy - ask! Here's where you an order a custom hare, or see any that I currently have in stock.
If you'd like to see more of my hares, pop on over here where you can see a gallery of all my creatures.
Ohmygosh, glowing hare!!! That is AWESOME 🤩😎
